4227 / BMW Manufacturing: GERMANY, SAXONY, LEIPZIG, 13.05.2005: Work on a Friday on the 3er Model at the new BMW factory in Leipzig in the assembly shop. Munich Auto Workers` new fabircation building was officially inaugerated on the same day as this photograph was taken. The series prodcution of the new 3er BMW in Leipzig has been running since the first of March. According to the spokesperson, presently 160 vehicles go out from the conveyor belt daily and by the end of the coming year about 650 cars should be reached after a full day`s production. BMW has invested 1,3 million euros in the new factory. Presently, approx. 2000 workers are employed. / BMW Werk: DEUTSCHLAND, SACHSEN, LEIPZIG, 13.05.2005: Mitarbeiter im neuen BMW-Werk in Leipzig arbeiten am Freitag (13.05.2005) in der Montagehalle an 3er-Modellen. Das neue Produktionsgebaeude des Muenchner Autobauers wurde am gleichen Tag offiziell eingeweiht. Die Serienproduktion des neuen 3er BMW in Leipzig laeuft bereits seit dem 1. Maerz. Derzeit gehen nach Angaben eines Unternehmenssprechers taeglich 160 Fahrzeuge vom Band. Etwa 650 Autos sollen es nach Erreichen der vollen Tagesproduktion etwa Ende kommenden Jahres sein. In das neue Werk investierte BMW 1,3 Milliarden Euro.
